Thankful Thursday - Freedom
Wednesday, May 27, 2009
I have a friend who has been going through a court procedure for offenses done years and years ago. This situation has been very stressful for the family. The sentencing hearing was held recently and thankfully no jail time will be served. Their experience makes me so thankful for my freedom!
I have the freedom to serve my family.
I have freedom to visit with my friends.
I have freedom to have many children..
I have freedom to go to the store!
I have freedom to watch television.
I can read my bible openly.
I can learn whatever it is I want to learn.
I have freedom! I am so thankful for my freedom.
Striving to learn and live God's purposes,

Amen. I was just thinking about that Pastor and his wife who are in trouble for holding bible studies in their home. Remember? Anyway, I am soooooo grateful that I can still read my Bible and study it with others.
Amen?

Absolutely thankful for my freedom - especially the ability to read my Bible whenever and wherever I want. That and meet with fellow Christians in public - there are so many people who can't do that without being arrested. We are so incredibly blessed. Happy TT!!!

Great post. I know what you mean. Tonight I was talking to another mentor and she was telling our girls about elderly ladies grandmothers that are in federal prison because thier children or other relatives made phone calls or did criminal acts in their homes and they were caught up in the drama. How sad that a grandmother would try to help a child and then get arrested and imprisoned. Yes we should all be grateful for freedom. But we need to also be thankful and grateful for our families.
Thanks for sharing. I will pray for your friend and her family.
Many Blessings,
Sherry
