Well, I chose two versions. The first isn’t the original but the message is there. The second is so relaxing.
So I’m counting my blessings:
- a roof over my head, safe and warm.
- five beautiful children I got to keep here on earth
- a man who works hard, in a very stressful environment, to support us
- extended family who allow us to make our own decisions
- church family who lend a hand whenever it is needed
- fire fighter friends who lend an ear, or a vehicle or shop time
- extended health benefits
- gracious librarians at our public library
- “tools” that make my job easier, washer, dishwasher, crock pots, stove, indoor plumbing
- tv and internet for entertainment
- the freedom to homeschool my children
When I look back over this list, I see that I am most thankful for the people in our life, not things. Hmmm.

LOVE this old hymn! Thanks for sharing.
I enjoyed both versions. Your list is great, too.
